Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”The Appearance section controls how RTILA X looks on your screen.

Section titled “Dark Mode”| Setting | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Mode | Toggle | On | Switches between a dark (dark background, light text) and light (light background, dark text) theme. |
How to toggle:
- Find the Dark Mode toggle in the Appearance section.
- Click the toggle to switch between dark and light themes.
- The change is applied instantly across the entire application.
When to use each theme:
| Theme | Best For |
|---|---|
| Dark Mode | Working in low-light environments, reducing eye strain during long sessions |
| Light Mode | Bright environments, printing screenshots, personal preference |

- Find the Interface Scale dropdown in the Appearance section.

- The change is applied instantly. All text, buttons, and UI elements resize.
Tip: If you have a 4K monitor and everything looks tiny, try 110% or 125%. If you have a small laptop screen and want to see more content, try 90% or 80%.
Startup
Section titled “Startup”The Startup section controls what happens when you launch RTILA X.
Show Connection Mode Selection
Section titled “Show Connection Mode Selection”| Setting | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Show connection mode selection on startup | Toggle | Off | When enabled, RTILA X shows the Local/Cloud/Remote connection mode selection screen every time it launches. When disabled, RTILA X automatically uses your last-used connection mode. |
When to enable:
- You frequently switch between Local, Cloud, and Remote modes.
- You work on different projects that require different connection modes.
When to disable (default):
- You always use the same connection mode.
- You want RTILA X to start as quickly as possible.
Tip: If you disable this setting and later need to change your connection mode, you can still access the connection mode selection by pressing ESC during the startup countdown or clicking “Change Connection Mode” on the startup screen.
Disable Auto-Login
Section titled “Disable Auto-Login”| Setting | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disable auto-login to last unprotected profile | Toggle | Off | When enabled, RTILA X always shows the profile selection screen on startup, even if your last-used profile has no password protection. When disabled (default), RTILA X automatically logs into your last-used unprotected profile. |
When to enable:
- You share your computer with others and want to choose your profile each time.
- You have multiple profiles and want to select one deliberately.
When to disable (default):
- You always use the same profile and want the fastest startup experience.
Disable Connection Checks
Section titled “Disable Connection Checks”| Setting | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disable Connection Lost checks | Toggle | Off | When enabled, RTILA X stops checking your internet connection and backend server health. The “Connection Lost” modal will never appear. When disabled (default), RTILA X periodically checks connectivity and shows a warning if the connection drops. |
When to enable:
- You work in an environment with intermittent internet and the connection warnings are disruptive.
- You use RTILA X in a restricted network where connectivity checks fail falsely.
When to disable (default):
- You want to be alerted if your connection drops during an automation run.
Warning: If you disable connection checks, you won’t be warned if your automation fails due to a lost connection. You’ll only discover the failure when you check the execution logs.

Section titled “Browser”The Browser section controls which web browser RTILA X uses for your automations.
Preferred Browser
Section titled “Preferred Browser”| Setting | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preferred browser | Dropdown | Auto-detected | Selects which browser RTILA X uses for running automations. RTILA X auto-detects installed browsers. |
Supported browsers:

- Verifying the browser installation path.
- Troubleshooting browser detection issues.
- Manually checking browser version information.
Remote Execution Tunnel
Section titled “Remote Execution Tunnel”The Remote Execution Tunnel section controls the public tunnel that allows external services to trigger your automations via HTTP requests.
Enable Public URL for Remote Execution
Section titled “Enable Public URL for Remote Execution”| Setting | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enable Public URL for Remote Execution | Toggle | Off | When enabled, RTILA X creates a public tunnel using Cloudflared, generating a public URL that external services can use to trigger your automations. When disabled, only local requests (from the same computer) can trigger automations. |
When enabled, the following appears:
- A Public URL field showing your current tunnel URL (e.g.,
https://brave-fox-jump.trycloudflare.com). - A note explaining that the URL is temporary and changes on restart.
How to enable:
- Toggle Enable Public URL for Remote Execution to On.
- RTILA X starts the Cloudflared tunnel.
- Your public URL appears in the field below the toggle.
- Use this URL for remote triggers, webhooks, and external integrations.
Important: The public tunnel URL is temporary. It changes every time you restart RTILA X or toggle the tunnel off and on. If you’ve shared the URL with external services, you’ll need to update them with the new URL after a restart.
Tip: For a persistent URL that doesn’t change, consider using a reverse proxy or a dynamic DNS service in front of RTILA X.
